For the first time in a long long while I wandered around the city today and it was a glorious day; sunny but not as hot as it's been - bright and airy. I started up in Regent's Park strolling around the boat pond and through the formal gardens, there were lots of occasions when I seemed to be completely alone and the city just faded from sight. After a beer and a few chapters of my book I headed back into the crowds skirting the Post Office Tower and into the madness of Oxford Street. Then it was down through eclectic Soho and tourist thronged Leicester Square before taking the new Golden Jubilee Bridge over the Thames towards home.
